Solved help for those struggling with a bug / virus in onedrive and 365

cOPY YOUR FILES OUT WHEN ONEDRIVE IS WORKING AND PLACE THEM ELSEWHERE then turn off onedrive and also uninstall 365 as its basicly a virus. Now one of these two is responsible for your computer looping at restart you'll need to turn off a usb switch in the bios start by os clock or somthing like that. Then uninstall your apache open office close quick start and taskbar icon then uninstal it as 365 has stopped this software working properly when you uninstalled either 365 or onedrive. Then reinstall your apache open office and all should be good again in the world of documents. also don't use the password lock for files especially if you wish to edit them as you will find yourself deleteing them and using existing copies from before you passworded those files. Back up your new look system and put flowers on microsoft grave as it's killing itself by sending out viruses in its software to kill the competition. The rebooting loop caused by you not installing 365 is the worst thing I have seen a company do since 2000, worse than the IE5 fiascio have they forgotten they were sued for that monopolising. You don't want to delete one drive just turn it off should do.I have 6hdds so only my OS is on drive c download folders documents and that other stuff similar now are set for drive F and are not effected by anything Microsoft does as they think everyone has only one HDD they forget some of us cut our teeth on win 98 and haven't changed how we do things to protect from unwanted changes. also as one person advised me in here turn off updates for 5 weeks so the bad updates can be removed by microsoftbefore you update them. Hope this helps and my desktop still looks like win98.

Neither of my 23H2 installs on both my systems have Office or 365 installed and neither experiences a reboot loop.

I had to go back to 22h2 as 23h2 didn't work on my machine either the framework 3.5-4.8 was the update that messed with my machine in 23h2. Microsoft reverted mine back to 22h2 as the 23h2 wasn't working with the framework upgrade.

OK I had 365 installed in control panel but not subcribed to in the computer and puter was wanting to restart every time it shut down I assume to install 365 fully so I uninstalled it in the control panel and also turned off onedrive and changed bios setting power on controlled by os clock. switching that off on it's own didn't stop restarting only when I uninstalled 365 and switched of onedrive did my computer go back to normal. Asside from open office which I had to uninstall and reinstall due to DOC files association with 365 to get the default app back to open office I had to uninstall/reinstall openoffice.

your info says your running 24h2 not 23h2? What is 24h2 like? 23h2 doesn't like my puter.

This isn't a love in. I had a stroke 2000 and hard enough getting the spelling correct and I been a carer for 43 years seen things you wouldn't belive so I have no emotion left and just so you know I dislike human spell checkers as I lost the ability to read and write for 6 months andhas thaken me 24 years to get back to this level of comprehension

PS I left school in 4th form so only know 4 lettered words.

I've had my Microsoft 365 subscription for almost 14 years. I've used OneDrive for more than 15 years.

Zero problems here and 23H2 runs fine on my two computers.

I dual boot 23H2/24H2 on my System One. I'm using 24H2 as my daily driver. I think its the best/most stable version of Windows 11 yet.

Fair enough. For me it's an incredible bargain. I just put it on autopay and forget about it. I spent more in tips this past weekend going out to dinner.

That's a lot of money just for tips.
I could not effort that, with a pension that fills my daily needs, but does not allow me to make big expenses!
That's why I hardly ever go out for dinner.

Beside that I have another reason why I don't want to use (modern) MS Office: long ago I bought a student/family version of MS Office 2007, where they introduced the ribbon interface. Forced myself to get used to it and did that about a year. But as I was very much accustomed to the menu structure of Office 2003, I could not get used to the ribbon, had to search for most used functions every time again. So after that period, I decided not to continue with Office with a ribbon and switched back to version 2003. Which I still use. But I never open any files from the outside world in that program, only make my own Word and Excel documents. I don't use the PC for any professional purpose! For reading external doc(x) and xls(x) files I have an extension on my browser.

Ok I haven't used 365 or onedrive for last 15 years why because I don't need it. I like choice and that freedom is being interferred with.

So, because you haven't used it since it was first released, it's a virus that everybody should remove from their system

You have a choice to use it or not use it, that is freedom.

There are tutorials in here that are a lot less detrimental for you and any newcomer who might come across this odd thread.

As for Microsoft 365 (trial offer?) you can download Revo Uninstaller Free Edition and remove Microsoft 365 and any registry files it might have.

Oh I see you missed the original post which was removed where a member wanted to remove 365 and wanted to know what he needed to do when removing 365. The post was removed immediately before I posted this info for that user to use. As you guys haven't seen that post your misinterperating the reasoning behind the post sorry I didn't make things clearer for you in the first place.
