Deleting downloaded but not installed updates on Windows 10 Pro

The next backup I am going to do on my laptops running on a Windows 10 platform is on Oct 15. Before that, I plan to delete all the downloaded but not installed updates to free up disk space.​


C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\

I am unsure about the files in the SLS subfolder. They are probably needed for Nintendo games. If it is safe, I would like to delete them as well.

On Oct 15, I am only going for the old images of Windows that I have made. This was before Co-pilot and Windows Backup tools were introduced.

No more Windows updates from then onwards. First off, I am uninstalling Edge and Bing. Then I plan to update my other software before creating a new image on every one of my laptops running on a Win 10 Pro platform.
