Customer has Dell Precision 3480 filled with viruses....popups I cannot seem to get rid of....
So thought I would stick in new M.2 and reinstall Win 11....
Bought Crucial PCie Gen 4 NVMe 2230 M.2 SSD.....
Installed the chip and started Win 11 install from USB.....
Does not see the drive....so I cannot install the drive....
Research and seems I have to have a driver installed first to recognize the new chip....
RST.exe is suggested...but I cannot make it work....
When I get to the install part that should show the drive....is asks for a driver location.....I have the RST.exe on
another flash drive......but it seems I am SOL......
Went to Dell and downloaded Storage Drivers but that did NOT work....
ANY suggestions appreciated.....
