Fairly often, a few minutes or so after starting my desktop PC , I see the desktop icons being refreshed. I assume something has been updated, though perhaps not Windows itself as that's usually more obvious.
I've tried to have Task Manager open and watch the activity but not seen anything. Had a look at the logs in Event Viewer but couldn't see anything pertinent.
Is there any way of finding what these updates might be? Or if not updates then what might be causing the refreshes.
I don't have any issues, merely curious.
