Does anyone have any experience with this add-on program: Desktop-Reminder - a freeware task planner for Windows

I've used this little program (version2) for many years and I know Win 11 has its's own built in but I try to avoid learning curves.
For some unknown reason, all the times are now in 24 (military format) rather than 12 hour as I'm used to.
Does anyone know how to change the format?, or is it even possible now with the #3 version?

I installed the portable version and went through it's settings.

There are no settings that I could find to control the time format.

It would appear you are stuck with Military time now.

I didn’t install it. But it seems that there is a config file tat can be edited. The website doesn’t specifically state that you can change the time format but maybe it is possible?
The pro version is relatively cheap, but again it doesn't specifically state that the time format can be changed.
It may be worth looking at the config file?

I am assuming it is the same for version 3.

There is a configuration file for the v3.2 portable version, but unfortunately, there is no option to change the time format in that configuration file.

It’s quite a weird direction for a software company to take. Baffling.

Yeah I agree, it is probably just an oversight, but they should correct that just the same.

I see no reason why you can't stay with the v2 version, at least until they release a corrected version.

I am assuming they will of course.

I've sent an email to the creator of Desktop Reminder3. I'm hoping he can point us in the right direction to resolve this issue? Email is: infor@polenter.com
I'll post any results I find.

After several emails back and forth with the developer, he has been unable to solve this "time format" issue.
We've sent screenshots back and forth and I've tried every scenario that's he's suggested, with no positive results.
He states that the program works properly on his 3 computers, maybe this new version only works in Germany? :)

I'll keep you posted, if by chance he does figure this out but I sense he is near the end of his suggestions.
Dave :)

After some looking around, I found this:
Notice the top says: 17:26. Yet the time shown in the bottom right corner says: 5:26.
Could this somehow be the reason that we can't change the time format in Windows Reminder 3?
Any suggestions? :)

I'm wondering if this setting is responsible for the 24 hour time format in Desktop Reminder3?

It certainly could be, many programs take their basic settings from what Windows is displaying. Could also be the BIOS settings which some Windows settings can override when running.

OK, now I have 24 hour time in my task bar, it was 12 hour time before I did as instructed.
You can see in this screenshot how I have the time/date formatted but it won't change to what I have it configured to.

Set it to 12hr (I’m assuming that’s what you want) and restart the pc. See if it takes effect then.

OMG! That fixed the time format in Desktop Reminder 3. I have 12 hour time set in the taskbar but for the life of me, I couldn't figure out how to change the time format in DTR3. I guess the problem was that I set the time (many times) but there was "confirm button/enter" button to click on.
So to sum it up, here's what I did.
I did as dacrone suggested and once I had the PC time format set like I wanted it to be, I just "rebooted" without even closing any windows.
I'm so pleased we got this issue solved, especially since the creator in Germany had given up. Double thumbs up guys/gals.
You know, sometimes I'd rather be bald than have OCD. :)
