My HP Desktop computer had just begun showing an active laptop battery including charging, discharging and shutting the computer down. This I believe began with the last 24H2 update. I do have a APS UPS but that never was indicated by the battery icon on. The computer AC plugs into the UPS. Noted also that Windows which is Pro version shows that an optional HP Firmware update is available, but when I tried to install it, it does not. Not sure if that is connected.
Stumped... Thanks for any assistance

It is OS Build 26100.4351. I've have had the computer for years and maybe I've done something incorrectly but it seems that the battery icon was always full and never functioning. Did I inadvertently click some option? Battery usage shows no usage in the past seven days although this morning the icon indicated it was almost out of power and now it has recharged to 100%???
