Hello!

I have disabled task bar thumbnails with the ExtendedUIHoverTime method as I always do since I've hated it from day 1 in Windows XP but this doesn't seem to affect the task view button in Windows 11 (it did in Windows 10). I do not want to show thumbnails of my desktops when hovering the task view button, see attached image.

I also tried this:
but it doesn't affect it either

Win 11 taskbar is totally different with a lot of things that can change taskbar behaviour no longer available, especially 3rd party software.
If you have it installed it may stop the win 11 tweak from working. If you uninstalled it, did you use anything like Revo to remove all traces.
If you have everything installed, that is great a program for finding leftover, just do a search for the name of the file or company to find any leftovers. do you have any other 3rd party software installed that affects the taskbar, if so check it's settings

Thanks for answering!
I use StartAllBack to get a proper taskbar and start menu but I tried disabling it but the issue is still there, I didn't use Revo though. But if I can't have a third party taskbar then I'll have to live with the thumbnails or hide the task view button and use keyboard shortcuts.
It's not nearly as critical as not having a "never combine taskbar buttons" option, that's a deal breaker.

I also should've added to be super clear that it is only the task view button that is unaffected, regular thumbnails from apps and explorer windows are still disabled with the ExtendedUIHoverTime method, even with StartAllBack.

I use Openshell for the start menu and ExplorerPatcher for the taskbar and context menu. That would make sense, as ExtendedUIHoverTime seems to be working but won't affect Task View as that is what MS doesn't like you touching, I have mine turned off so I do not know much about it
