Hi i want to buy a canon lide 400 scanner. But he gets is power by usb port.
So when i power up the pc the scanner power also on.
Is here a asyway to disable the usb wereld the scanner is connect to.
Not by register or device manager. I want a batch file or somthing that i kan make a shortcut on desktop

Look for a USB Data Hub with Individual Power Switches may be.

Not coming up with why the scanner would have to be disabled at boot up but if a port is turned off it may be necessary to reboot the computer after turning it on, could be more inconvenient that just letting it be on, shouldn't automatically start scanning anything. Does the scanner have a power-save feature that turns it off after some time of non-use?
