Shrink your partition size so you have about 70gb of free space. Then install windows on the new partition and see if a fresh install allows them to function properly.

I misread, sorry. I would like to blame the fact that I am stuck with a tiny 13" monitor right now until I can replace my primary that died, or the fact that I had no coffee yet, but I'm sure I would have messed up anyway :-).

I couldn't stand a 13" screen on my laptop, so I upgraded to a 17" laptop. Much nicer to work on, full sized keyboard and I can actually see stuff on the screen. :-) Of course my desktop has 45" screen so maybe going to 13" was just too big a leap. :LOL:
