I just set up a new computer with Windows 11 Pro and I'm having an issue with the screen timeout that I cannot fix. Unless I set the screen timeout to 2 minutes or less the screen never turns off. I've tried setting the time out in Setting, in Control Panel and via the Command Prompt with no resolution.
One point that may be telling... the computer this new one is replacing had the same issue. However, the only parts that carried over are peripherals, namely a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse, a U.Are.U 4500 fingerprint reader and a USB to RS-232 adapter. I don't think it's the Logitech because the screen never comes back on once off so it's not like jitter from the mouse or something is waking it up. I'm going to try unplugging the fingerprint reader and RS-232 adapter next but I'm really struggling to think of a way those could cause this (and I have the same fingerprint reader on other computers with no issue).
Thoughts?
