Downgrade from Windows 11 at an old machine.


@SIW2 for some reason the iso didnt download fully so I am just redownloading it now. Thanks for the tutorial or usb7ice.

I've used usb7ice to successfully copy over the iso.
Also, which WiFi driver do i go for?

when you boot up 1904v3 the desktop looks like this:

the ramdisk is given the letter X and the usb stick should be Y

I will have a look at the official dell media and see what is in it. no, I dont see anything enlightening in the dell media.

Yep, downloaded the Realtek ones.

As I posted before:

X is the ramdisk it is the letter assigned to your currently booted winpe.

E is the win7 os you want to work on.

click E in the top pane to higlight it in blue.

then click open session.

On some systems there might be several os and mounted images. It finds and lists them in the top pane.

and this is how you tell it which one you want to work on

for example:

dism++-open-session.jpg

FYI:
enthusiasts might have images that are not on the root or mounted so they wont be automatically listed, in which case they can be added by File>Add Path and browse to directory containing your image.

Isnt your fault. English is the most commonly used language. On the contrary, Greek is rather rare.

I've not installed windows from a DVD since Windows XP!
Most new computers today, don't even have a DVD player. USB is everywhere!

And, just like the old Floppy Disk, a USB drive can be used over, and over, and over, again.

I installed drivers with disk as the USB ports weren’t recognising the USB drives (y)
