Dual Boot boots only the default OS

I am on Windows 11, 25H2, build 26200.7840 with a Dell Optrex 3000 PC.

I have two OS . They both show on the Dual Boot screen. Either boots up with no problem when it is set as a default with Msconfig, but neither boots up when it not set as a default. Nothing happens by clicking on the Dual boot tab.How can I fix this? Thanks , Gundobaldo

Just so everyone knows before they give a bunch of duplicate answers, this user has posted 8 or 9 very lengthy threads about dual boot since 1/1/25.

Disk Management shows one OS on Disk o and one OS on Disk 1. One Drive is a SSD , the other Drive is an older SATA Drive.I had installed later. I am a bit ignorant about the Drives architecture. I don't know if the two OS are physically on the same SSD drive, or if one is on the SATA. What adds to the confusion is that Diskpart both Disk 0 and Disk 1 list the same OS twice as Vol 6 . both with the same size ( 351.67 GB ) I believe Disk 0 is the SATA , because from what I recall, my older SATA was large ( 920 GB), whereas the SSD it is smaller, 439 GB.

The old 2025 posts, Glasskuter, have nothing to do with today's post, because they related to my old computer and they had also a different drift. I am talking about my new computer.now. Besides, it is none of your business to try and dissuade others in the community from responding to my post by pointing to my numerous, allegedly too lengthy posts of last year.. If you cannot help or say anything constructive, just shut up or respond when you " are back in the rails" ( your words) .

I was just going by what your threads said. On 1/1/25 you mentioned Optiplex 3000
Then on 1/15/25 you said "I am on Windows 11 Pro on a Dell Optrex 3000 tower" (By the way you were correct the first time, it Optiplex not Optrex.)
Do you have 2 Optiplex 3000?

Your first thread that mentioned dual boot in the title was 1/21/25 (the best I can tell). Prior to that you were trying to boot from a clone to an external drive or something. It was all too much and too confusing for me to read all the many responses.

The members here spend a lot of time replying to posts. If other threads are on the same subject as the current one, the information in those threads is also pertinent and can keep folks from a lot of repetition if they are aware of them. It also give a clearer view of past events. I was simply pointing out that there was history.

I'm firmly on the rails today, so, maybe cool your shorts and step down off your high horse in lecturing me. Other folks here that might have an answer for you do not like rudeness.

Does Disk Management show a drive letter for the other OS drive? What are the two OS's your booting?
