Easeus issues Todo Backup -update

I have used both Partition Master and Todo Backup for years. Partition Master is great. Every update of Todo Backup always results in me having to use their offline activation tool. The normal way just doesn't work. But with the 2026 version (18.0.0) even the offline activation won't work. I can still use the program to backup and recover my data if I need to without activating the program. But there are some parts of the program that can only be used with an activation. So I am still trying to get it activated. I did try Hasleo but that program won't allow me to select a couple of my partitions on my C drive (Main Drive) to backup. So I am afraid to switch to it completely since I don't know if all of my data is being backed up. I will probably use Todo Backup without the activation for backups and restores if I need them. And I'll use Hasleo to clone a new drive when I need to get one.

Easeus may well be slacking off on updating their free imaging app because they're losing customers OR they're getting prepared to go subscription and leave the free version behind. What with other such mainstream apps going subscription and then Haselo Backup Suite Free came into the picture, it's bound to have had an effect. I also believe that others may have some of the same doubt I do about using Chinese software and have either left Easeus or do not choose it in the first place.

For years Macrium was (and IMO still is) the gold standard,but Haselo makes a great showing in ease of use, speed, reliability, and support. I just hope Haselo continues to offer a free version for people who won't pay for their imaging app. For Macrium to have done so for so many years was indeed a public service.However, with most softwares these days, it all comes down to the $$$$$ in the end.

problem is they are forced update and lifetime license fails and you have to beg them to fix it! illegal??

I will add my thoughts on Easeus. I have the life time paid version. It's speed of backup is average. It's speed of "check image" is a truly disappointing to me. IMO
