Hi Everyone,
For those who celebrate the christmas season I hope you had a wonderful christmas celebration, I recently merged some registry that I thought that I would find useful to me, I've since been proven wrong and would somehow like to remove these files. Is there by chance any easy way to get this accomplished ? Thanks in advance for any assistance that might be provided to me. Please Stay Safe & Healthy.

Hi,
I'm so very grateful for this forum and being able to interact with users such as you that are kind enough as well as taking the time to reply back to forum members needing assistance with issues on their computer. I plan on evaluating the software that you included in your response, if nobody had replied my next step was going to inquire as to if the following program: Sysinternals - Sysinternals contained an item that possibly do something similar.

It all depends on what the reg file did as to how to undo it. Open the registry file you merged with notepad. (right click on file, select open with, select notepad)Copy and paste it's contents into this thread and someone can tell you what to do once we see what the file changed.

Rule of thumb...ANYTIME you work in the registry always back up either the entire registry first or whichever keys you are changing so changes can easily be undone.

If you still have the REG file, you can upload it here for us to reverse engineer it, and post back an undo option.

If you don't have the REG file, then detailing what it was for may help to undo it.

Hi All,
Since I'm older and therefore rather old fashioned I've always made it a habit of saving any & all registry files if for no other reason just in case I might ever need them again for some reason. I'm going to include the registry files I'm wanting to (hopefully) undo, and for further reference as well as additional information they are registry files that I grabbed mainly from this site because I know they are trustworthy. I'm rather embarrassed to actually type this sentence but just for some additional clarification concerning my issue, I had forgotten that I had inadvertently applied some of the registry edits via the Winaero Tweaker software that I recently installed on my desktop computer.

@Brink can easily reverse edit any reg file, but we have no way of knowing what additional changes you made with winaerotweaker. I can say, I have used that app many times. For each change you make using it, the app has an option to 'change to default' which undos the changes it made. It would help if you could tell us exactly what you want to undo.

To me at least this proves to me (which by the way I never once doubted) that you know what you're talking about. I've done just that as far as reversing the registry that had previously been applied using winaero tweaker.

All of the other ones except for the one that I included as an attachment, but it's not a big deal now because there's nothing that's forcing me to have to use the one still showing up in my right click content menu.
