Do I have to make backups of Edge favorites and settings? I was hoping that all that info was retained on my Microsoft account?

I have been using Firefox for years and always make a backup of my profiles. Looks like Edge has more than one location for different settings?

Hello, :)

You don't have to if you have them synced with your Microsoft account.

However, I would always recommend to export them to have as an extra backup just to be safe.

Unfortunately Edge does not really backup any settings as far as I can tell, only installed extensions.
But I setup Edge completely using policies. Then there are only few things I have to change myself.

It is a good idea to make a manual backup. I relied on sync and I lost all my favorites due to a glitch.
