Just updated Edge to Version 131.0.2903.48 (Official build) (64-bit). After the update, the browser presented the supposedly 'new' options that were added. On the second page (or here), the markup options shown in the screenshot on the page are not what I see when I try to take a screenshot in the browser.

Which markup options do you see in your Edge browser? How can I get the options that are shown in the first screenshot?

When I right click inside an Edge webpage I get a context menu which has an option of screenshot. When I select "screenshot" I get an option to "capture screen area" I select "capture screen area" which gives me an option to select "markup capture" at the bottom and use my mouse to scribble on the screen. (I don't have touch)

I am already doing that. I am right-clicking and then selecting "Screenshot", then "Capture Area".
Select an area and I don't see the options that you see. I see different options as seen below:

Edge Version 131.0.2903.63 (Official build) on another laptop is the same as yours. "Capture screen area" option is missing so you only get the older options. 🤷‍♂️
Might arrive in a later update, who knows.
