Edge, show profile icon in title bar

The "show profile icon in the title bar" option no longer appears in Settings, this option disappeared after the final update to release 132 (stable channel) and is still not present in 133 (stable channel). Any idea how to get this option back (registry tweak)? I have tried the minimal toolbar setting under flags, but nothing helps. I have this issue on 2 computers (oddly these are the only two officially supported by Windows 11) On my older unsupported pcs, this issue is not present

I have that enable. Tried all 3 settings, result is the same.

Just used a test pc. Edge stable 133.0.3065.51 still has toggle for “show profile icon in the title bar” and it’s functional

Thats the problem, I no longer have the toggle. I need to know how to get it back

you havent made any modifications to your edge install? if not then something got corrupted and the only thing i could suggest is repair the installation

settings > apps > apps & features > microsoft edge > 3 dots on right > modify > yes at UAC > repair

No mods, but this is happening on 2 separate computers, and only after version 132 updated

try the reset. i cant reproduce it on the build i posted above. that is a basic win 11 24h2 install with build 133+ on it.

download latest edge installer (offline version)

run powershell as admin. paste the following and press enter.
(wont let me paste here for whatever reason. keeps saying 'we ran into a problem.... its just a powershell script, so i've attached it)

then go to settings > apps > microsoft edge > uninstall

reboot

reinstall with offline installer

I know about that thread, I responded on that one, but I still find it odd, that this happens only on 1 PC. Did a clean installation on my laptop this weekend, full format and install, and the icon is top left.

Another odd this is my settings for Edge, i.e. Appearance, instead of having a long list of items, i.e. toolbar etc, they are grouped, this happens for most of the options under Settings, all the other pcs don't have this either. Really strange A/B testing of the release builds?

I am already familiar with Microsoft's inconsistent UX after they announced Control Feature Rollout on Edge, but you are right, it feels strange when they do this on the GA channel.
