The Microsoft Edge web browser is based on Chromium and was released on January 15, 2020. It is compatible with all supported versions of Windows, and macOS. With speed, performance, best in class compatibility for websites and extensions, and built-in privacy and security features.

Microsoft Edge currently show the profile icon on the title bar by default.

You can change to show the profile icon on either the title bar or toolbar in Microsoft Edge.

Thank you, Brink!

For no apparent reason my profile picture switched from one side of the Edge browser to the other.

It wasn't a major malfunction and it appeared to work correctly but I did not do it and I did not like the new location so I was really hoping I would not have to reinstall Windows or something equally silly to put it back.

I believe this setting is no longer experimental and is enabled by default in Edge (120).

What exactly is the next option, "Show profile type in the profile button" meant to do?

(In my tests, setting it on or off and restarting the browser seems to have no effect at all.)
