editing windows 11 boot files to create a custom boot animation help

Hello, so this is a follow up post to my prevoius post of editing the windows 11 boot logo and throbber. so in windows 8 and older you could change your boot screen to a custom one. so i found this file, bootres.dll.mui and i changed it to the .dll format an opend it up with resource hacker. i got this hex text i have no idea what it means. now there are other boot files in there to but i dont know how to open them or edit them. can some one give me an idea or a few pointers on how to go about it and open the files and change them?

What you are looking at is compiled code.
Unless you find the source, probably written in C, there isn't a thing you can do.
You could use an old debug.exe , used to come with DOS & older Windows versions.(16/32bit)
You would only be limited to bit by bit changes, assuming it would work.

is there some sort of program i can use to change the boot throober. i know how to change the logo but i cant seem to figuer out how to change the animation. i want to restore it back to windows 7 custom boot animation.

Decompile the boot files, modify them as you wish, recompile them.

Give it a try, you'll never know unless you try.

Please perform an image backup first and have a bootable USB drive ready.

Record the steps you perform and compare them with those on the video.
(no typos allowed at this level) You are dealing with the kernel here.
Check and recheck what you do and do not rush!

The drawbacks, the video shows you:

-You will need to disable driver signing
- It looks like you will lose your 16x9 screen format, you saw at the end the 'old TV screen look'
