Solved eM Client Updates

I actually got a notice on Laptop!!!

I use Softpedia email notification for some apps. Better double notifications than none.


For example Proton Pass was updated, but winget noted, that it has to be updated manually.

I had something similar in the past: Website Watcher
Now, I only have maybe a half dozen applications to check manually, so, no sweat.

I don't get them on Desktop either, they only pop up when I run "PatchMyPC".

I have reservations about this Build!!!
First of all, it's now a UWP App, second, I can't get it to start minimized at Startup!!!....
Doesn't look good.......

I installed it on my VirtualBox testsystem.
It really is no good at all, installed it but nothing happened. It did not give a shortcut on the desktop, it did not give a shortcut in the OpenShell startmenu.

I had to search if it really had been installed. I found out that it indeeed was installed, beause it was reported in Revo as UWP app, (740 MByte instead of 340 for version 10).

At last I found the start of it by using shift Start menu, with which I can use the modern Windows menu. Quite a way around to start a program!
Then I did a part of the setup (until where the mail adress has to be filled in) and as far as I did that, no change was visible from version 10.

I will not go and use this new version. Certainly will have to buy upgrade licences (I am using several account in eM-Client).

I will stay at version 10 forever or search for another mail client program.
