EMail settings.

For some reason Edge will only log me in after a code is entered from my mobile.

I enter my E Mail address and pass word then I receive a 6 digit number automatically on my phone.

How do I step back to E Mail address and Password only...Please?

I am with EE for my internet.

thats 2 factor identification verification used as extra security for your account, if you disable it and your account gets hacked, you will never recover it. I strongly suggest you keep it enabled.

As mentioned, it is caused by F2A being enabled. I do NOT recommend you disable this, but here are the steps to do it in case you want to ignore the warning already provided.

1. Login to account.microsoft.com
2. Navigate to Security-->Security Dashboard
3. Under Account Security, press "manage how I sign in"
4. Navigate down to Additional Security and press Turn Off under Two-Step Verification

I am not going to turn this off myself for security reasons, so I can not guide you to the end with all the follow up prompts.

I highly recommend you keep F2A enabled at all cost or you risk loosing your MS account forever.

I personally have this security measure enabled on this forum too, and everywhere else where possible.
