This tutorial will show you how to enable or disable the Settings agentic search experience for all users on Windows 11 Copilot+ PCs.
Starting in Windows 11, version 24H2 with KB5062660 on Copilot+ PCs, the agent in Windows Settings is a feature that uses on-device AI to help you find and change settings on your PC. It can also help you troubleshoot issues by providing recommendations and automating tasks based on your input.
The agent guides users through finding and changing settings, offering relevant information and recommendations. With user permission, it can automate the process of changing settings. This feature enhances search within Windows Settings by enabling natural language queries and utilizing an AI model for intelligent search suggestions.
If the agent is enabled, users can access it by opening Settings and typing their question in the search box. The agent provides relevant information and recommendations based on the user's input.
Starting with Windows 11 build 26100.5074 (24H2), as part of the Copilot+ PC experience, the agent in Settings helps you quickly find and change settings. Initially available on Snapdragon®-powered Copilot+ PCs, agent in Settings now supports AMD- and Intel™-powered Copilot+ PCs.
Starting with Windows 11 build 262100.6725 (24H2), Microsoft is providing a direct navigation link to the corresponding settings page from the agent search results on Copilot+ PCs.
The agent in Windows Settings experience currently works only if your primary display language is set to English.
Starting with Windows 11 build 26220.5790 (Dev 25H2), build 26120.5790 (Beta 24H2), build 26100.6713 (RP 24H2), and build 26200.6713 (RP 25H2), Microsoft is beginning to roll out the new agent in Settings experience to Windows Insiders with their primary display language is set to French.
