This tutorial will show you how to turn on or off Suggested Actions for your account in Windows 11.

Starting with Windows 11 build 25115 and build 22622.290, you can try out a new Suggested Actions feature for making everyday tasks quicker in Windows 11 through inline suggested actions. When you copy a date, time, or phone number, Windows will suggest actions relevant to you such as creating calendar events or making phone calls with your favorite apps.

Suggested Actions is now available to everyone in Windows 11 build 22621.675 version 22H2.
  • On copying a phone number, Windows will pop up an inline light dismissible UI that suggests ways to call the phone number using Teams or other installed apps that offer click-to-dial call functions.

  • On copying a future date and/or time, Windows will pop up an inline light dismissible UI that suggests creating the event using supported calendar apps. Upon user selection of preference, the app is launched with its corresponding calendar event creation page with auto filled date and/or time.

Starting with Windows 11 build 25247, on copying text with search potential, Windows will pop up an inline light dismissible UI that suggests searching this text in Microsoft Edge. Upon user selection of the search action, a new Edge tab is launched to search the copied text. This will initially be available for Insiders in the U.S. only.

Starting with Windows 11 build 25272, Microsoft is removing the suggestion action for searching copied text in Microsoft Edge. Thanks to all the Insiders who gave Microsoft feedback on these two experiences. As a reminder, features and experiences Microsoft tries out in the Dev Channel may get removed and never released beyond the Dev Channel as they incubate new ideas and get feedback from Insiders.
