Solved Entry "Create BMP" is missing from the context menu, I'd like to have it back, please

Hey Guys,

freshly installed Windows 11, just 3 days ago and working on it ever since. Im so new that I am writing from my Win10-OS because I am not yet done moving. I had a look into the new Paint-Program and decided that only a mother could like it. I uninstalled it and installed 'Classic Paint', not from the Windows Store (because I did not find it there), but from a different site.

Afterwards I noticed that there is a missing bmp in the context menue "New Entry". Okay, technically I don't know if Win11 put it there in the first place and I just didn't notice it missing, but I assume for now that it's a result of me uninstalling Win11-Paint.

To what registry-entry must I sacrifice my firstborn son to get it back?

I am running Windows 11 Professional, today's version, fully updated, but mutiliated through explorer-patcher. If you need more information I will get it to you, but maybe that's enough.

He replaced it with Classic Paint.
I think an alias might be needed then.

But as I left Win 11 Paint installed.. I have no way of checking.

Thank you for the answer, but I am not sure how this is helping me. You posted a screenshot of the precise part of the Context Menue I am talking about. The BMP-File there is missing on my Win11. But how would changing "show more options" help me here?

I have to add, that I use explorer-patcher. I transformed the Win11-explorer already to W10, so I have no second context menue waiting for me anyway.

Oh yes, Aliases. I have no idea about them. But the Site said this here:

Once the Settings app opens to the "Advanced App Settings" page, click on "App execution aliases". Disable "Paint" aliases for mspaint.exe and pbrush.exe entries using the toggle switches next to their names.

I did not do that, because both entries werent there. I guess Paint was gone, because I already uninstalled it. I did nothing in the alias-part afterwards. Does that help somehow?

Even if you don't use it, you should probably keep Win 11 Paint.

I did not do that, because both entries werent there. I guess Paint was gone, because I already uninstalled it. I did nothing in the alias-part afterwards. Does that help somehow?

I installed the old Paint back, and suddenly the bmp-enty was back. Yeah, shouldnt have uninstalled it in the first place. So thanks everyone, the problem is gone :)
