It is very possible

could you please grab Sysinternals PSInfo tool and run the following command in an elevated CMD:
And post the CSV found on your desktop.

It lists all your installed apps

Hmmm...if you are still working on that previous request, change the command to:

And open the file in Notepad and delete any possible e-mail addresses found almost at the top of the file.

That CSV output was very unconvenient.

Well I deleted the AsrDrv101/102 drivers in Safe Mode but when I try to install Timing Configurator I get the same error again and AsrDrv101 is reinstalled to C:\Windows\sysWOW64\Drivers.....

I will do PSInfo tomorrow.

That's the same page I downloaded it from and when I install it it's giving the same error - driver cannot be loaded and it's reinstalling the AsrDrv101 driver.

Ok, you could try find those two AsRock IO drivers via device manager.
In device manager, click on View -> Show hidden Devices and check if you can spot The Asrock IO devices/drivers.

Note, the devices you are looking for are a bit grayed out because they are not in use. The ones with normal coloring are actively in use so they are not of interest.

All of those RGB apps are installed with Asus Aura. I don't think I need half of them.

I've deleted the Asrock IO drivers from the Windows directory. Do you think something is still lurking?

Naah, only thing you could do is also remove the entries found by Autoruns.

Remember to reboot once all is removed.

Why do you think the AsrDrv101 is reinstalling with timing configurator after its been deleted? AsrDrv101 shouldn't be installing with the timing configurator from the link you provided should it?

I have no clue where that came from, but the driver should not install using the link I provided. I could check this though...

UPDATE: Tested that there is no Asr*.sys installed after i installed the Asrock Timing Configurator v4.0.9 from the link I provided


UPDATE: Scratch everything I just said...it installs the driver afterall. Found it in a different location.

AsrDrv102.sys v1.000 is from 2012 and has many vulnerabilities. No wonder why it is flagged as unsafe/untrusted. Not sure why my system did not flag it though...

Is the latest Timing Configurator (4.0.9) installing the vulnerable driver? I checked and my version of AsrDrv102.sys is 1.0.0.0 located at C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Drivers. Asrock are supposed to have patched this....
