Excel workbook locked

Created an excel spreadsheet. Saved it to a USB key on my computer. I put the key in my wife's computer and tried to open but the workbook is locked/protected from editing or reading???? Yet it opens fine on my computer. File extension is xlsx. To my knowledge no password was used. What am I missing?

Sort of looks like there are 2 copies of excel programs in the machines. I had problems with double usb directories earlier.

Right click the file on your wife's machine and select Properties. At the bottom is there a Security section "This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer" and an Unblock box alongside? If so tick the box and try again.

I have not seen this problem.
Is there a difference in BitDefender / other encryption methods?
Please would you post a suitably cropped screenshot so the exact error message can be seen.

@tpriest That would do nothing as I resolved the problem and could no try what you suggested.

@Try3 Nothing to do with BitDefender, can't supply screenshot as I resolved the problem and no more error.

Were it resolved, there'd be a green checkmark. There isn't one that I could see. I know you resolved the issue, but you should mark the thread as being resolved if you haven't.
