Explorer Patcher will not install Win 11 25H2.

Windows did an Insider Update the other day and I lost the Explorer Patcher changes. I want them back but having trouble installing ep_setup.exe freshly downloaded today.

I did GoBack, which is now ghosted and not selectable, but don't see any changes.

I want to get the Explorer Patcher working again. Any help will be appreciated.

My Windows 11 Home x64 Version 25H2 Build 26200.6899 runs ExplorerPatcher without any problems so I think it's that Insider version that's causing your problem.
Perhaps you can wait for the next Insider version and see how that behaves.

Sorry, I just learned EP did install, it's on the Programs and Features list and has a folder under Program Files.

Windows Insider made a change yesterday (I think) and that's when the Start Menu reverted to standard Win 11. Also, EP disappeared from Programs. So today I downloaded the latest EP version and tried to install it. It seemed to install strangely as the permission prompt appeared, and I gave the OK. Then the display went black for a few seconds (!) then reopened to the previous normal Win 11.

So, I "assumed" it didn't install. My mistake.

It looks like the issue is EP installed but doesn't run. I don't find any reference to it under Task Manager/Processes.

I'm going to uninstall it and restart and see what happens. Since Windows Insider removed it, I may be out of luck.

Mainly, ExplorerPatcher is tested to work on the current stable build of Windows 11, as that is what I daily drive and also because testing against Insider builds is pretty difficult since things change a lot in there, so developing a patch this month might be rendered useless the next one when things are changed again or reverted altogether. So yeah, officially, ExplorerPatcher is supported only up to the builds that are listed in the release notes.
