Today BT failed to launch. I decided to uninstall and reinstall the little dong thing (don't know the name) that contains the mechanics for running the BT. So I did. Rebooted system as BT still wasn't working. Then a bigger problem emerged. System turned on but no boot. Panic. Tried various suggestions to no avail. Then I looked up what the function keys did - F11 and ctrl brought it back. Now I'm afraid to turn it off -- the keyboard is acting strange. When typing it jumps to a new area and garbles letters. Any thoughts? Thanks --

You have BT keyboard? If so I'd say either drivers are corrupt, delete and re install or dongle is bad or usb port has issue, try in another usb port.

Sorry, getting used to this forum. I see your specs. If keyboard still acting up I would reboot to see if it works. If not then delete drivers for keyboard and reboot to re install. It may have gotten corrupted during that last reboot. Could be a host of reasons why it locked up on you. I had a security update cause mine to hang on boot just a couple days ago. Had to hard reset but computer booted and original update was good.

Zbook-- thanks for all the tips. All running ok now. Don't know what you mean by abbreviations -- BT? That is a very common one used by many -- I don't think it will confuse anyone. Thanks again for your other input.
