Greetings:
I have been trying to install a QuickBooks Plugin and receive the 80040154 error. I pulled the info related to the CSLID to find the complaining file from a W10Pro (being decommissioned) which has the file registered and installed correctly. No such entry in the registry for the W11Pro. I tried to register the file using both regsrv32 in both system32 and wow6432, but neither found the file even though I executed the commands in the directory where the file is located. I have executed sfc and DISM with no errors returned.
Neither Intuit nor the vendor of the plugin had any suggestions. However, I am not the only one with this issue.
Since I know the keys exist on the W10Pro, can I extract those keys by dll name or CSLID and Import them into the W11Pro and expect different results? Or am I just dreaming that this could be the solution?
Suggestions?
Thanks!
Roy
