This just started happening and I find it very frustrating. When I walk away from my laptop I close the screen. If I come back in a short time and open it Its right where I left it. But if I'm gone for 10 minutes or so and have to enter my code to unlock the screen it opens in File Explorer. Then I have X out of that to get back to where I left off. I'm seeking a fix for this.

I just checked. "Restore previous folder windows at logon" is not enabled. One thing I noticed it only does it when I have a jump drive installed.

Check startup apps.

Maybe your computer USB port having problem, see device manager for errors.

it sounds like autoplay settings. go to:

Control Panel > put it in icons view > AutoPlay

turn it all off and try again, just to test
