I have two monitors. On one is explorer open on a folder containing photos. On the other screen is a web page where I create AI images online or similar. When I right click an image there to save (by default to the folder I have open on the other screen), the new image fails to appear in that folder until I refresh it no matter how long i leave it.

The folder does already hold over 2,000 images but that can't be it surely? My pc is modern and powerful and otherwise runs like lightning.

PS to get the windows version as you describe doesn't allow me to copy the version to the clipboard from the pop up window. Not very useful.

That is actually 23H2 for the version. To get the Version and Build put ver in a Command Prompt window, to get a printable file use ver /ver.txt. Or WinKey + R and type winver.

For some time now when copying a file to a different folder that file will reside at the bottom of the list of files in the new folder, either Refresh/F5 or click Name twice to realign the list.

I'm sure i've seen a registry fix to increase the Explorer refresh rate, go have a peek in tutorials.
