It's always safe to click on ellipses (in Windows), and "see' what they mean. ;-)

For example, the one just to the right of View has this underneath it...

Ellipses are like "drop down lists". You have to click on them to see what they are.

We are having a problem communicating, I am not an idiot, I have clicked the ellipses several times.

Hello mate, :-)

It looks like it could be a graphics glitch.

As a test, toggle to light mode and back to dark mode for Windows Apps to see if it may clear it, or just a glitch while using dark mode.

You might also try restarting Explorer, or even restarting Windows if you haven't already tried that.

I started using Windows 3.1. This issue has been present since I bought this new Dell and nothing helps, I was hoping someone in this forum knew something that would help. BTW, I upgraded to 22H2 with a repair install, because it would not install normally, but the three ellipses were present before the upgrade.

Well, I can .zip my explorer.exe but it's just a bit too big to upload on here. :/

Ha... 7zip did the trick... I only have one set of ellipses.

Even if you don't want to substitute... you can compare checksum... etc.

I guess, if you have the space, just clean install from the upgrade ISO you used, to a different partition, and grab THAT explorer.exe

You probably already tried SFC and DISM.... Restore Health.

Ha... 7zip did the trick... I only have one set of ellipses.

Even if you don't want to substitute... you can compare checksum... etc.

Just solved the problem, rolled back to the previous version and the ellipses are gone.
