FileExplorer duplicate "Special folders" e.g Downloads, Documents

I have 24H2 (in case it matters) and File Explorer is driving me nuts again. I use the following options : "Expand to current folder" and "Show all folders" and whenever I try to save a file from let's say Firefox/Chrome, it duplicates the Downloads folder like this :


This is even worse when turning off "Show all folders" since it opening the Downloads folder but the tree doesn't sync anymore with the breadcrumb trail as shown here :


This is actually an example since I find myself sometimes with duplicate Documents with a deep nested structure and I have a difficult time to navigate.

Last related example, if I have "Show all folders" turned off, and for some reason try to navigate to %userprofile%\documents, again the tree doesn't "Expand to current folder". I would expect it to navigate through ThisPC :
