Devices Find DirectX Version in Windows 11

This tutorial will show you how to find the DirectX version you have in Windows 10 and Windows 11.

DirectX is a suite of multimedia technologies required by many Windows games. If your PC doesn't have the right version of DirectX installed (the product box should tell you which one you need), your game might not work properly.

DirectX is a set of components in Windows that allows software, primarily and especially games, to work directly with your video and audio hardware. Games that use DirectX can use multimedia accelerator features built-in to your hardware more efficiently which improves your overall multimedia experience.

Here's How:

1 Press the Win + R keys to open Run, type dxdiag into Run, and click/tap on OK to open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.

The first time you use the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, you might be asked whether you want to check if your drivers are digitally signed. It is recommend that you select Yes to help ensure that your drivers have been signed by a publisher that has verified their authenticity.

2 Click/tap on a System tab in the DirectX Diagnostic Tool. (see screenshot below)

3 You will see the DirectX Version (ex: "DirectX 12") listed under System Information.

That's it,

1. dxdiag in the search box with Cortana disabled, still works. It just takes like 10 seconds to open.
2. For any items that really don't work in the search box because Cortana is disabled...
...right click START and type it in the "Run" box. Still takes 10 seconds to open. ;-)

I also have the Win key disabled and Cortana seriously disabled.

Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 13 years?
I don't see the point of the statement "takes ten seconds to run", this is surely subjective due to individual hardware as right clicking start, clicking run, typing dxdiag and pressing enter on my system results in the dialogue asking if I want to check driver signing appearing instantly followed by the tabbed display showing instantly. First time I have ever run the app.
Unless you are referring to the entire process which again is subjective depending on wetware (motor skill speed, menu comprehension speed, clicking speed, key activation speed).
Either that or you have seriously messed up your OS by fiddling. ;-)

yeah it might be subjective but the time difference should be so small that it doesn't matter. Its like when someone says something and you know exactly what they mean, But you decide to be difficult and pretend you don't because 1 letter was different or something when you know fine well what they meant.
Thats mostly the point of you're statement im gonna say
