My understanding is as follows

Both standards are capable of delivering a good gaming experience, but if you want a great gaming experience, right now DisplayPort 1.4 is generally better than HDMI 2.0

HDMI 2.1 technically beats DP 1.4, and DP 2.1 is better than HDMI 2.1 (provided you have UHBR13.5 or higher support). The problem is that you'll need support for the desired standard from both your graphics card and your display for things to work right.

Are you using multiple monitors?

What is the Display Port? 1.4, 2.0 or 2.1?

The XFX Speedster QICK319 has DP 2.1

If the monitor supports DP 2.1, and you’re using Multi Monitor setup. I’d go the DP 2.1
Even if the monitor only supports DP 2.0, I’d probably still use DP.

I’d be looking at reviews before you buy either of those.
You seem to be going hard on this new build, for that reason, Firas, it’s best to be 100% sure.


You would be hard pressed trying to find a 49” or 32” monitor with DP 2.1
Standard seems to be DP 1.4
And if you could, $$$$$$$$$

I'm confused and having trouble getting a monitor to fit my needs
My old one was a 32 inch so I don't want to downgrade to 27
Still looking for a good monitor

I would be searching DP vs. HDMI
DP & HDMI are backwards compatible
Your card supports DP 2.1, common monitors don’t
DP 1.4 is basically better than HDMI 2.0
You card supports HDMI 2.1 (backwards compatible)
HDMI 2.1 beats DP 1.4

I would either search, or take the time to read this. If you want to get it right, I would.

Also hard pressed to find a a monitor that supports DP 2.0

The more I look, and if only one monitor will be used. I’d game with the HDMI 2.1
Both monitors being considered have HDMI 2.1 but only DP 1.4
The card has 1 x HDMI 2.1

I’d go HDMI 2.1 to HDMI 2.1
A certified high end HDMI cable.

The other one is 57 inch
The one I was looking @ was 49 and I thought that was way too big :)

32 34 is nice but now we lost the Fresh rate
