Did you give it a drive letter? That's usually all you have to do to view it in Explorer

It's probably a factory image and since you have a copy of it you dont really need it

you can have a look with diskgenius free version

click the 40gb partition in the left pane then click the FILES tab

here is an example looking inside the esp partition - in your case look inside the 40gb partition

If you wanted to e.g. copy something out rt click the file/folder to get the context menu

On the system I am trying to correct if I right click on the 40GB partition I only get a help drop down.

No it doesn't have a drive letter
You can assign it one in Disk Management
Right click the partition and select Change Drive Letter (the pic is a windows 7 example)

This one has more options because it already has a drive letter - it should still have Change Drive letter if it has none.
I have one drive that has no drive letter

It is a special partition type cant do much with it in diskmgmt. That is why you use diskpart to delete it del par overrride

( diskgenius could delete them , but best stick with diskpart because you are doing the rest with commands. )

Not yet just the ACER push button reset so far.

Just looking at the before and after. The 40GB went into the unallocated partition.
