Freezes Black screen starts up on its own

Hi I have a Dell Inspiron 15 3000 at the same time each day for two or three days and usually after a windows security update my laptop freezes the screen goes black then within seconds it comes back on. However the screen on my desk top remains black apart from a square. Now here's the weird thing if I drag the black it's like drawing back the curtains. Specs shown in screen snip below. Also seems to have started happening after the 25H2 was installedScreenshot 2026-05-08 080807.webp

KB5083631 (26200.8328) is a preview update, not a stable update.
Try uninstalling it and revert back to 26200.8246 to see if it fixes it.

Found it and it's uninstalling found these two would it be safe to uninstall these as well

Don't DELL laptops have a utility which checks for driver updates?

MS has been getting a bit crazy with "MS drivers"
Sometimes these corrupt already installed drivers.

I would leave them installed.

Did KB5083631 uninstall okay and is it okay now?

The "end of the month" preview updates, are just a preview of the update we get on Microsoft Tuesday (2nd Tuesday of the month).

So no, you don't have to install the preview updates.

If you see an Out-of-band update, you should install those. They are "fixes" for some problem in a previous update.

Otherwise, the only updates you should install are the ones on MS Tuesday.
The next one will be on May 12th.
