When booting from Windows installation media, when you get to the screen that shows all the available Windows editions, one of the columns shows "Date modified". As an example, take a look at the screenshot below:

A couple of things to note from this screenshot:
1) The date shown, 11/4/2021 is the same date that the November 2021 Windows 11 Refresh images shows when downloaded from Microsoft.
2) Note, however, that only two editions of Windows are shown rather than the 11 that come on a standard Windows 11 image downloaded from Microsoft. This is because I modified this image by injecting all the latest Windows updates into it today (Feb 13, 2022) and stripped off all but two of the Windows editions. I have also changed the "Date modified" timestamp for EVERY FILE in the image to Feb 13, 2022.
So, the question: Since the updates injected don't change the date modified and the date modified for the individual files don't determine the date that is displayed, where exactly is Windows setup getting this date?
My speculation is that it must be getting it from some file WITHIN one of the WIM files (boot.wim or install.wim) since I've not altered the date modified within those files, but I just don't know for sure. Anyone have any idea on this?
