fullscreen apps in windows

is there a way to ensure that every program and application opened in windows opens in full screen? i mean there's no way other than going into each apps properties and ticking open full screen. thanks

How many apps could you possibly run for this to be a problem. You only have to do it once per app, no?

But my answer is no, I don’t believe there is.

Try this
  1. Open the Registry Editor:
    • Press Win + R, type regedit, and press Enter.
  2. Navigate to the following path:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer

  3. Create a new DWORD value:
    • Right-click on the Explorer key, select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.
    • Name it MaximizeApps.
  4. Set the value:
    • Double-click on MaximizeApps and set the value data to 1.
  5. Restart your computer to apply the changes.

yes, you said that and I replied there probably isn’t a way.

3rd party tools can do it.

A comment: don't confuse Maximized with Full Screen. Maximized is the middle icon at the top right corner of the window and Full Screen is reached by pressing F11 [on some keyboards like Notebooks it may be Fn + F11] which will remove most toolbars giving more screen room for things like videos. Downside to Full Screen is having to move the mouse to top to show the toolbar. Pressing Esc returns to normal.

If you open everything maximized, be prepared for some unexpected weird results, especially if you hide your taskbar I never set any app to open maximized. Instead, for the apps I use most, I manually size its window by dragging the edges just a few pixel shy of full screen so I can still see its border. When I close and reopen that app again. Windows remembers that size and opens it the same way every time.
