I've used Roboform for a long time but have to pay every year. (I just did so am good for another year) I tried a VPN for a short time but ended up uninstalling it because it slowed my already slow internet down too much. gHacks is offering a bundled lifetime deal for Sticky Password + VPN Unlimited. Are any of you familiar with either service? The Lifetime Password Manager & Privacy Subscription Bundle

Hi there
Technology changes so fast - for things like VPN's It's not worth taking out "Life time subscritions"

I find NordVPN very reasonable and the most I would do is take advantage of a Two year contract as it's only (or was) around 5 EUR more than the yearly one. It's always worked for me and they have zillions of servers all over the place too,

We have here decent 1 - 10 Gbps internet speeds (some testing also going on with 1 Tbps too) .

No probs with NordVPN slowing access -- in fact when I've been watching a UK soccer match via NordVPN I see the game a little quicker than friends in the UK watching on Sky satellite dishes --on a phone call to someone in Manchester recently I screamed "GOOOOOOOOAAAL" and it was at least 2 secs before his picture (same "Live match") got to the same goal.

With technology don't lock yourself in to long term contracts in areas where things are rapidly changing.

BTW particularly in the UK -- look at contracts very carefully - they have corporate greed practices that even the US would shy away from -- often on about "page 27" in the small print they have "Annual price increase of 4 or 5% but PLUS CPI" so that means around at the moment over there around 12%. Nasty sneaky stuff,

Not sure if that happens regularly in the US -- would be glad for info on that stuff. Fortunately EEA/EU rules seem better able to stop that type of practice designed to be hidden from consumers -- offer them a sweet introductory deal and then hit them wham with a massive price increase. (But I'm not allowed to mention here the "B--word" ) of course.

Cheers
jimbo

That happens here, too. They get you with automatic price increases. Roboform Everywhere has slowly increased over the years. That's why the "lifetime" deal caught my eye.

I'm a KeePass (and now KeePassXC) user for my passwords and TOTPs for all my sites. And most security experts will tell you that most VPNs are not all they pretend to be. If you *need* access to locked content from another locale, they are decent about that - but if you want to actually privatize your info, most of them are not very private at all. Plus, something like the top 30 VPNs are actually managed by only 3 hosts.

I've been using Sticky Password for a few years (Ashampoo offered a "lifetime" subscription for $29.95). Like you I used to use RoboForm but didn't appreciate when they switched to a subscription model.

Sticky Password works; it's "ok". The only problem I have with it is that it frequently misinterprets input fields on a web page as password fields and wants to insert an automatically-generated password. Other than that, it does what it's supposed to do. The only VPN I use is on my work laptop to connect to our network; I don't see much point in it as a home user. The Interweb already knows everything about me anyway.

I bought the same bundle from BitsduJour a few months ago. I had used Sticky PW for several years many moons ago with no issue. It works great on desktops/laptops but not so great on tablets. Another issue is it locks after 10 minutes of inactivity & you have to re-enter password to get back in. There is an option to change the time of the logout but despite trying several times, it reverts back to 10 minutes - uuuggghhh - very irritating!
I also use NordVPN but have tried the Unlimited VPN - seems to work fine - does slow down download speeds a bit more than Nord. I use it on my nVidia Shield Pro with no major issues - no buffering, etc.
Bottom line, a lifetime licence for both for $30 USD, you can't go wrong!
