Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 R2 with AMD FX-4350 = 24H2 possible?

Hi again

I have the chance to get a free Gigabyte GA-781ML-USB3 R2 board with a AMD FX-4350 on it.

The CPU supporting SSE 4.2 and POPCNT, but no TPM at all.
What I learned is, that such an old motherboard doesnt even have the possibility tp plug a TPM 2.0 chip onto it!?

Could somone maybe enlighten me here a bit?

1.)
Planning to install 24H2 the official way then, no TPM would be the only culprit here, right?
Or would the AMD CPU be not be compatible as well? (too old?)

2.)
Would using a bypass method (CPU, TPM, SecureBoot) like Rufus enable me to install 24H2 on the this Gigabyteboard with AMD CPU, without problems?

You could probably install 24H2 using RUFUS.
But an FX-4350 is gonna struggle pushing 24H2.

I'd probably consider Linux or Windows 7.

    Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 15 years?
The FX-4350 is listed as supporting SSE4.2, so it wouldn't fail Windows 11 24H2 on that basis.

it's not on the supported list for 11, though.

I'd suggest that the value of the Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 R2 plus FX-4350 in the context of Windows 11 is very low. (125W for a 4 core/4 thread CPU is pretty high compared to recent CPUs.)

If it was me, it'd be a hard pass.

"Probably" and "most likely" sounds indeed like we are talking about a 12 year old CPU here. o_O

I also cant find anymore specific infos via google or youtube.

As the PC will be only used for emails and some browsing, it wouldnt be that bad if its a bit slow and unrepsonsive.
I just want to be sure that bypassing all the things using RUFUS would at least install 24H2.

But I guess I have to try then.

Download and run WhyNotWin11.exe to see what else is not supported.

I have a i7 2600 CPU (14 years old) with 8G of memory and Win 11 runs very well.
As Ghot already suggested, use Rufus to bypass the restrictions

I have an ASRock A-88M mobo with FM2+ A10-7860X. While the CPU specs have everything, it is not on the "official" MS list of supported CPUs.

I have spent DAYS trying to get Win 11 on it but no joy. If you find a way, please let me know!
