Glitch with Win10 Start Menu

I installed ExplorerPatcher on a new Win11 machine, and it does what I want (I mostly came for the task bar) except for one glitch: I’d prefer to set the Start Menu for Win10, but when I do that, pin to start doesn’t work for certain utilities (calculator and snipping tool, for example), though it does work for most apps. The same utilities do pin to the Win11 start menu. I’ve tried uninstall and reinstall of EP, but that didn’t change anything.

Anyone else seen this issue? Any ideas for a fix?

ExplorerPatcher is version # 22621.1555.55.1
OS is Win11 Pro 22H2, build 22621.1848

Hi there. I have Explorerpatcher, and I attempted pinning snipping tool to start and it didn’t work. I think this is an issue you will have to report to the developers through Github, not just a one-off issue.

Thanks for the quick reply. Until there's a fix, the Win11 start menu works well enough.

No problem. I use explorer patcher taskbar and start menu, but don’t find an issue with being unable to pin apps as I don’t do that with the start menu (for some reason).

EP's key advantage for me is that it gives me back a vertical task bar on the left side of the screen (which I really love). Afaik, it's the only utility that can do that, and I don't want multiple utilities that might be incompatible with the next Win11 update or with one another.

Also, EP has the settings of win10 like small taskbar icons, placement (as you said) and it feels more built-in. Plus, it is 100% free
