Good air cooler for AMD FX6300

I was just given a Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 R2 Rev 1.0 Motherboard, with an AMD FX6300 CPU. . . It came with a fan, but only 2 screw will mount it. (AMD Wraith Stealth Socket AM4) on an AM3 board. I'm wondering if someone could recommend a good air cooler (doesn't have to be expensive), just enough to keep it cool. . This PC won't be playing games, or be overclocked, etc. . .

And Also, would this PSU be enough to run the motherboard, with the CPU, and an RX580 GPU?

Coolers that NewEgg thinks support AM3+: Amazon.com AM3+ (96 X48mm) uses a different hole spacing than AM4 (90 X54 mm). (But I believe that coolers that use the stock hooks are compatible with both AM3+ and AM4.) The NZXT models are the cheapest, and are claimed to support 120W. They don't use the hooks, but their bracketry may be slotted to work with both hole patterns.

FX6300, 95W. AMD FX-6300 Specs

RX580, 185W. AMD Radeon RX 580 Specs

No-name 650W PSU, 45A on the +12V line. (540W at +12V. Not great for a "650W" PSU.) Should be adequate. But I personally wouldn't buy a PSU that wasn't 80+ efficiency rated, preferably gold or better. The efficiency is less important to me than the build quality. You won't get an 80+ gold 650W PSU for $35, though. Or even 80+ bronze.

You may want to re-think building a comp with an fx6300
Like... save some money and build a cheaper modern comp.
Or maybe a miniPC... like check a few of these out...

Oddly the original Hyper212 Black Edition supports the AM3+ socket while the latest 212 Black Edition doesn't show support. There is also a middle Hyper 212 Black Edition that also shows support. I know this really get confusing. I have several Hyper 212 BE boxes that I have purchased over the years. The 2 earlier ones show support while the latest one does not.
Another is the original Hyper 212 (non Black Edition) that will work. I currently have one on an old system running the FX-6300.
Another choice is the Vetroo V5. Cheap on Amazon.

I use a Hyper 212 Evo on my old fx6300. They are pretty cheap on ebay. Just make sure they include all of the mounting hardware.

It's not a current model, which is why it's not one the Cooler Master list in the link (post #4). They can still be purchased new, as you post. Not sure I'd give $44 for one, though.

An RX580 GPU only requires a 450-500 watt P/S. I ran a comparable computer with a 650 watt P/S with no problems. I even used this P/S to test a much more powerful Nvidia RTX 3060-TI GPU.

I can't help with a CPU cooler. I used a Corsair H60 (2018) water cooler. It worked with AMD AM3/AM2, AM4 sockets.
The newer Corsair H60x RGB ELITE works with AMD AM4, AM5 sockets.

Whichever CPU cooler you get make sure it fits. Some air coolers can be really large. AIO water coolers differ in the amount and size of the cooling fans. You have to make sure they fit in your case.

The AMD Wraith Prism cooler will work on AM3+ boards. I have one on a Ryzen 2700X and it is keeping it nice and cool. You don't get the high performance gaming temperatures of a better cooler, but it will do fine for anything day to day.

On eBay, the Wraith Prism can be had for a song ($20 - $40 CAD) brand new, and should perform just fine.
