Google search engine sign in only?

I just clicked on my google bookmark to use the search engine and unless I sign up, it's a no go. Anyone else having problems with them? It looks like Yahoo might be looking better, what a thought!

I didn't have to sign in to search.

Maybe you should copy/paste this address in the address bar, and re-bookmark it, and try again...

Maybe it has something to do with which browser you are using?

Just checked one of my setups where home page is set to Google in "Google Chrome", and no requirement to login.

    Only running Win 11 on this PC for test purposes
I have just found out what the problem is. I tried changing from Firefox to edge, and there was the normal allow cookies to continue button to click on. Going back to Firefox, I found that I had zoomed to 150 and the cookies page was small, about 1/4 the width of the screen and would not scroll to reveal the button to ok the cookies. When I changed the zoom to 100% everything was back to normal.
Trying the zoom at different settings on edge did not affect the ability to allow the cookies.

Do you keep cookies when exiting the browser? It may be worth adding google to the exclude list

My home page on Firefox is the original Firefox home page and Google is near the top of the list of favorites. I try to get rid of cookies and browsing data when closing a browser and try never to remember passwords or stay logged on to a site. So if I now go to Google, it will ask for cookies approval before starting. I can change the zoom settings from wide to 110 before the cookies page shrinks and going down from 150, say, it reverts to normal when reaching 100.
None of this happens when using edge.
Correction, edge will do this at 175 or above.
