Hi, I have bought a new M.2 NVME inetel 670p and have tried to format it but failed.
The SSD has been installed in 2 for the 3 ports on the motherboard, tried using diskpart to clean it and set it to mbr and using aomei and partition wizard to format it but nothing worked.
The size originaly shows up as 1024GB when freshly installed but when installed as GPT it shows 2048GB. When set as MBR it only shows up as 1024MB and lets me format it but then fails to. If I use the clean command in diskpart it also shows up as 1 GB unallocated. Also if I look at the GPT partition properties it shows it as MBR

Unfortunately it's still under the protective partition. Also i have looked at the drivers and there is one from avast antivirus there so maybe that could be it or it could just be a broken drive and I could send it back for a replacement.

tried it but it only showed disk 0 partitions. Also I tried installing windows 10 on it but it no longer showed up so I think it's broken. I'll try to find a replacement and see if that works.

With some MBs, M.2 NVME and some SATA ports are mutually exclusive. Did you try changing SATA drives to other ports *

tried with 3 of the 6 ports right now but it didn't do anything. Just sent it for a refund and i'll probably get a 870 evo since I only planed to use it for games

New drive worked perfectly. Apparently the ones that sold it to me trough the retailer sold a fake.
