Solved Has anyone encountered this?

When I try to login into my or (you're) amazon account I get this...." This site can’t be reached. www.amazon.com refused to connect".
Try:

• Checking the connection
• Checking the proxy and the firewall

ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

It's the only one out of all my bookmarks I have, that I get this error. I have tried everything I can think of. Shut down Anti virus , disabled Firewall. Deleted all browser cache, reinstalled Chrome, Uninstalled McAfee, Reinstalled McAfee. Still the same msg. every time. Any suggestions what might be causing this?

Can you login to your Amazon account using a different device, such as a phone?

yes I have tried other browser, that did not work.

Try this. Open a command prompt and type ipconfig /flushdns

Still looking for something I have'nt come across to try and fix this. I have hundreds of bookmarks and amazon is the only one I get the error msg.

Just to ask, is the Amazon bookmark broken or typing http:// amazon.com too?

So all your devices show the same error when you try to connect?

when I click to sign in on amazon and get the error msg, if I then click on the 3 dots and go to developers tools it shows this error "Audit usage of navigator.userAgent, navigator.appVersion, and navigator.platform" would that have anything to do with my error?

If you've saved your password in Edge delete it then try to log in manually.

Have you contacted amazon? I know this is something you cannot do from your current login, but you could Use a free email address to create a new account and contact Amazon's help department

I cannot even get to a amazon page! Yes I've called them everything is good on their end

I think for diagnostics I'd try the Cloudflare Warp app to tunnel the connection out of the PC, if it works then the browsers are ruled out as the issue and you can start looking at the networking.

What router do you have? I've had to go back to an earlier Netgear firmware on my R8000 as the last 3-4 versions have caused issues connecting to webpages. Although after 2 or 3 attempts (refreshing the page) it would eventually connect. It was something Netgear did to fix a security issue. The older firmware connects to websites every time.
