Solved Has anyone encountered this?

The OP keeps stating they have tried everything and all Amazon links fail but has not directly answered the question from @Fabler2 which is are all devices failing to connect? For example laptop, desktop, phone etc.
If all devices fail to connect then it is possible the modem/ router is the cause, a simple test would be to go to a different location with a phone & laptop if possible and try to connect that way using a hotspot or friend/ relatives internet.

Another troubleshooting method is to visit another location Such as an internet Cafe and try logging in from there. If this also fails then the Account is likely the issue if it connects OK then its a local hardware or software issue

Just to let you all know I appreciate all that you are doing to help. The only device I can log into my amazon account is my cell phone. I am going to get a new router, seems to be where the fault is at.

Check to see if there is an entry in your host file?

C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\host

“host” file has no extension, right click, open it with notepad.
Check to see if there is an entry in the file similar to the following. If you find the following entry, close the file, right click on it again, select properties, make sure it isn't read only.
Open notepad as admin and remove the entry. Save and close.
Right click on the host file and make read only.

AMAZON
127.0.0.1 www.amazon.com
127.0.0.1 amazon.com

Or it's maybe blocked in your firewall.

Okay... Is this what you wanted to see? I opened host file by notepad, noticed the same file. Closed host file , then right clicked Host file and selected properties. Read only is not checked. Now you want me to make it read only? Okay so here's what I did before I got your msg. to fix my situation. I did a clean install of windows 11, and everything is working fine. Now my question to you is.... the Host file should always be checked "Read Only" I'm just asking cause I never messed with the host file. The screenshots are from the old drive. So if I go to the host file on the clean install I just did Host file should be Read Only?

Rename the hosts file as hosts.old, restart and try to log on again.

Everything is fine now, I can log into my account. I think Antspants got it right. By the Host File not being "Read Only". The clean install I did today Host File shows "Read Only". Would have been nice to know that a day ago. Anyway all is good! Good job AntsPants and the rest of you from Windows 11 Forum! I believe I'll go check "Solved".

There are several program around that profess to protect you from ‘spam’ and they inject this sort of text into the hosts file. Most commonly they are AV programs which create this mess.

Scotty if that is your host file after a fresh install, something you’re running is altering your host file, this is I believe is a problem.
Are you running any batch files after you install anything in particular? Or any cures for any software?

Yes, the host file should always be read only. And yes, that is the process of editing the host file. Uncheck read only, open notepad as administrator, change host file, save, re-apply read only.
The host file, unless you change it, should look like the one @Fabler2 posted above (less the entries he said he placed in his)

Scotty I am sorry I didn't get to see your post earlier to save you the re-install. But nothing like a fresh PC, hey?

P.S.Edit; @wimorrison is right, possibly antivirus or some kind of anti malware/spam app you’re using. But it isn’t doing it properly, whatever it is.
