Hasleo backup Access denied to backup folder

I recently installed Hasleo backup and have run backups that succeeded. Full, incremental, etc, they have all been working
The backups reside on a USB drive H:\WorkBackup\System Backup

I restarted my computer and the drives change, so I swapped them around to correct it

I can go into restore and select the existing full backup, incremental backup file in H:\WorkBackup\System Backup
they work I can view and restore a file
I can create a new backup in H:\Backup on the same usb and it works

However when I tried to run the existing backup I get the message in red
When I tried to select the same destination folder as the original backup, i.e. the one I can select in the restore I get an access denied message
When I checked permission, its is the same as the new backup

Hasleo needs SYSTEM, not sure, if Everyone covers that properly.

Amazingly, you can block 99% ransomware by simply blocking SYSTEM write rights. ICACLS is a great tool.

I had a similar problem with Hasleo, though not exactly the same.

Try to choose the same path again from all the possibilities in Hasleo. It's as if you want to change paths, but you choose the same one.

Strange thing is the new backup of the same drive onto the same backup drive SYSTEM is not required
Rebooting the PC causes the new backup to fail that previously worked fine.
Can still open and restore using any of these files
Adding SYSTEM did not fix the issue

Try to disable inheritance, it sometimes causes problems. I use this:

I got in contact with Hasleo support, sent them some logs and they said it is very strange
