Hasleo Backup Suite

I see Hasleo became commercial - exactly as i predicted/expected. :P

Since this is the most common commercial model - used by the majority of back-up software brands (Free Version - having limited features). Definitely not the Macrium way - as others claimed/expected (going fully commercial - even subscription based - which is the most disgusting business model, imo).

After long-term use of Acronis and Macrium Reflect on a modern AMD B650 UEFI/GPT system, I stopped using both because neither worked reliably in boot/WinPE recovery. Acronis WinPE failed to properly handle the target disk, Macrium boot recovery was inconsistent and overly complex for real disaster recovery scenarios. I switched to Hasleo Backup Suite Home (v5.5.2.x, lifetime license), which boots correctly, restores the full GPT layout (EFI, MSR, C:, Recovery) and successfully completed a real bare-metal restore test. It is lightweight, transparent, subscription-free, and actually works where it matters: restoring a dead system.

If that is the case, I would like to know which older version has the fastest backup speed and has delta restore as well
That is a bad plan. Newer versions fix bugs in older versions and no matter what you think, accuracy and reliability is far more important than backup speed.

I agree that is a bad idea.

I have a choice between either Hasleo Backup Suite or O&O Diskimage as a second backup option in case my first backup let me down.

My first backup is obviously MR 8.1 Server Plus.

After much contemplation, I have decided on O&O, simply because it is a more matured. Hasleo is the new kid on the block.

I have used it since Version 17. It is not as fast as Hasleo but very very reliable.

Can you provide a link to details...I have been a Hasleo user for a few years now...it has worked well everytime I've needed it. Like you say...I will not do a subscription payment (that was the reason I went from Macrium to Hasleo in the first place). It will also come down to what free vs. paid features are.

He must have been using Acronis wrong as well, I've restored to bare metal more than once with Acronis True Image without any issues.

This was not a usage error.

With both Acronis True Image and Macrium Reflect, the issue was the boot environment:
in WinPE, my mouse and keyboard did not work because I use wireless peripherals.
On this specific hardware (AMD B650), it was therefore impossible to continue with the restore due to missing / incompatible drivers.

So the problem was not the restore process itself, but boot media compatibility.

For comparison: Hasleo Backup Suite worked without any issues in the same boot environment, including full support for the wireless mouse and keyboard.

I’m not disputing that it worked fine for others – in my case, this was a technical compatibility issue, not user error.

Do your wireless peripherals work in your BIOS where there are no drivers for them? They do mine. My wireless peripherals also work in Acronis and Macrium recovery environment. Ive never installed any drivers for them.

Yes, my wireless mouse and keyboard do work in BIOS as well.

However, BIOS support and WinPE support are two very different things.
In BIOS, input devices work via basic firmware-level HID support.
Once the system boots into WinPE, control is handed over to Windows drivers, and at that point proper USB / HID / chipset drivers are required.

On my specific hardware (AMD B650), the Acronis and Macrium WinPE recovery environments did not recognize my wireless peripherals, so input was not possible.
This was not a matter of installing drivers in Windows beforehand, but a limitation of the drivers included in the recovery media.

The fact that the same peripherals work for you, or on different hardware, doesn’t contradict this.
For comparison, Hasleo Backup Suite recovery environment worked correctly on the same system, including full support for the same wireless mouse and keyboard.

So this is a hardware + WinPE compatibility issue, not a BIOS-level or user configuration issue.
