Solved hasleo backup

If the bomb wasn't removed, I would simply download an older version without it, if I could find one that is.

    Too many laptops with different system specifications.
People tend to forget that just because there is a newer version of an application, it doesn't mean that the old stops working or that the old is trash compared to the new version. I still use PaintShop Pro 3.12 from Windows 95 since it has some features that the newer version doesn't have or does them differently and not in the old familiar and convenient way. Old is not automatically obsolete and useless.

The issue with Hasleo is until the latest version it had an expiration date or timebomb.
They keep removing it then putting it back in.
Even bootable media can be affected since it will make an internet connection to Hasleo to check license status.

I doubt it. It might check the date if it is time limited .

assuming you are using pecmd.exe you can check the date and time in pe with a simple script

I doubt it connects to the internet but for the date you can fake it to keep using it like we did in the good old pre-internet days. Just set the date back in BIOS, use it and set it to current date.

No internet connection needed.

It won't upload a .wcs file so I put .TXT on the end
take the .txt off the end so the file is date-time.wcs

It is a pecmd script. The menu on the left with the buttons and icons is also a pecmd script

if you are using pecmd.exe in your winpe

Small version without the extra programs included in the regular version. The small version does not have just manager so notepad2 is included which can be used as an explorer.

it will search the current installation for:
diskgenius (free and pro)
aomei backupper (free and pro)
aomei part assist (free and pro)
aomei fast recovery (free and pro)
macrium (free and pro)
hasleo backup ( will run as free version because the winpe key is different from the installed one)


if you have hasleo backup pro, create the hasleo winpe and then browse to its boot.wim


The buttons without icons dont do anything because those programs are not in the small version

Interestingly version 5.6.2.1 wouldn't upgrade and install from the app on the ARM64 machine. Kept throwing an error code about it didn't apply or something. However downloading the ARM version of 5.6.2.1 from the website installed smoothly.

Thankfully ARM64 version of Windows 11 is nothing like the old Windows 8 RT that wouldn't let you install anything outside Microsoft Store. It is much better. Microsoft learned their lesson that nobody likes a restricted OS like it is on a smartphone for their PCs. However, I prefer x64 version for backwards compatibility with old applications and games.
